Here's some information about Mardi Gras:

Mardi Gras (French for “Fat Tuesday”) is the last day of the festive season of Carnival. The day is traditionally and has been historically used as the day for Catholics to finish off the rest of their animal products and to enjoy richer food before the beginning of Lent, during which fasting and abstinence are required. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and is the day right after Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras is also known as Shrove Tuesday. On Ash Wednesday, Catholics and various other Christians fast and abstain and go to mass and have a priest anoint their foreheads with ashes in the sign of a cross, as a sign of repentance.

Today, Mardi Gras is celebrated by feasting on rich food, such as pancakes (as they use up animal products such as milk, eggs, and butter), which is why it's also known as "Pancake Tuesday" or "Pancake Day". Other common traditions include parades and performances, wearing flamboyant and lavish costumes and masks, and so on. If you want read more trivia about Mardi Gras, then click on these links:

  1. It's good to see that Liam is enjoying himself and taking a break from causing us all to double post and not access the Sims 3 Community Forums.
