Response to The Mare's Nest

The Mare's Nest made a post about me here, which is the one I'm responding to.

First off, I'd just like to make it clear that I respect you have your own opinions of the members of the Sims community. Everyone has their own opinions of everything. I also enjoy reading your blog, and while I don't always agree with your viewpoints, I still enjoy reading it anyway. Heck, there are even times I laughed at posts that you wrote because I liked your humor tactic and/or because I thought what you wrote was so true. I also loved your report on the fall of the Sesert fiasco, a situation that had a painfully-long unwelcome stay, was a complete farce by nature, and was far too long overdue to end.

What I don't like, however, is how you just jumped on my post like that, being quick to judge. The reason I've been so less active is not because I'm "not getting enough attention" from what you interpret to be sycophants stimulating my ego. The reason is because 1. I became less interested with the game, and 2. I wanted to move on to other things.

I don't like how you think I'm an egocentric twat who feeds off of attention and that I must always be the center of attention. There was a time that I did do attention-whorish things in this community, but I was very reclusive at the time and was getting in over my head about my online social life (which was my only social life at the time). I'd also like to state that the reason I posted those Liam surveys again was because 1. I sincerely had fun making them, and 2. I was posting them for old time's sake for those who still like my Liam creations (If any), regardless of how pathetic and I.Q.-lowering you think they are. I am well aware that the pictures and stories I made were by no means any sort of masterpieces as, like you said, they were cut-and-paste jobs. I made them for laughs, not for art. While having the feeling of "fans" at the time played a large role in fueling my creation of them, I have no regrets in making them. Now I do acknowledge that I went about the wrong way in which I shared them, as posting thread after thread and poll after poll in General Discussion is annoying, obnoxious, spamming, and overly attention-grabbing. I should have kept them confined to my blog long ago. I repeat that I do acknowledge that I had attention-whoring behavior earlier on. Do you know why I liked to make so many things about Liam? There was a reason beyond the mere fact that I liked having "fans". Liam just so happens to be one of my favorite pre-made sims. I liked all of his quirks: how all the simmers hated him for popping up ont heir screens, how he's so stereotypically nerdy, etc. I actually liked making jokes about him because I actually find it amusing, and spending all that time making stuff about him actually made me come to appreciate the character more. If you feel that bringing any of my past Liam works up at all in this community is simply a manifestation of me wanting to "further expand my ego", then I'm sorry that you feel that way.

I'm also more creative than you think I am. I got a kick out of making pictures and stories about him, other pre-mades, and other simmers in scandalous and outrageous situations. Why? Because I have a mixed, diverse, yet bizarre sense of humor. I acknowledge that I did go overboard on the drag queen/transvestite theme, but hey, what was done has been done. I'm perfectly capable of making my own original characters with original plotlines, thank you very much. I just chose not to do this with the Sims community at the time.

Also, I did not join the brony community to "amuse" them (or more accurately to what you think "feed off of a new audience"). I joined it because I sincerely like the T.V. show. This community is a hell of a lot more than just posting memes that one found on the Internet, unlike what you seem to insinuate. It's just like any fanbase. It has its fan art, fan music, fanfics, general conversing about it, etc. People come together to share their genuine appreciation for the subject, which is what I've done. Also, I never set foot on 4chan. Just throwing that out there.

Another thing that I want to point out is that I did not leave the Tomb Raider community because of "getting bored from lack of attention". I left because I started feeling like I didn't quite belong with the people there at the time. What you're probably talking about is that, like over on the Sims 3 forums, I posted comics I made over there each having a thread dedicated to them. You may also be talking about a controversial thread I made over there at one point about a celebrity. But you know what? I was 15 at the time. Teenagers often do stupid things like that and then grow out of it (at least I hope the majority of them do). Also, if you did any further research of me with whatever Google searches you've made, then you would have found that I was part of the Sims community longer than the Tomb Raider one. I first joined by joining the Sims 2 community in late 2004. I was12 - 15 during my stay there, so you may have found some attention-seeking natured posts or threads there, just as you would with a lot of teenagers.

Do I do things like this anymore? No. I have grown as an individual. When I see people who flat out whore themselves out on a forum site, much like people like Innuendo do, I ignore them. I do not participate. I have better things to do with my time and with my life, as they should do with theirs.

Even if you respond to this post by scoffing at it and not believing a single thing stated in it, I won't care. Do you know why? Because I know who I am. You don't know who I am, and the fact that you made such a quick assumption about the current state of my character as a human being is, quite frankly, narrow-minded.

Before you make judgmental assumptions, perhaps you should take into account that maybe what one is doing now may be from a totally different perspective or mindset than what you thought it was or what it had been.

Liam Surveys

If any of you remember I made a series of Liam surveys over the winter of 2010 - 2011. I made them because I was bored, wanted to make silly surveys about Liam to entertain both myself and others, and wanted to see what responses other people chose in it, as it's always entertaining to see what the results are. What I decided to do a while ago was recreate all of my past ones on a new free survey provider, Zoomerang, as they let the surveys stay active as long as you want and allow the people taking them to view the results (to my knowledge, lol). I also made a sixth one, so that was also fun. I was waiting to finish the sixth one before I published them, which I did today. If you haven't taken the surveys before (or would like to retake them for the fun of it), then you can find the links below.

Have fun! :-D

I am not dead...

Hi there simmers! I just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and kicking (lol), that I've still been keeping my eye on the simming community (mostly only blogs and Simstopia), and have seldom been posting on blogs/forums. The reason why I'm not very active anymore is because 1. I've been less interested with the game and often feel like doing other things instead, and 2. My new main community is the Brony one. In fact, I've started my own meetup group on Facebook, have recruited over 20 to 50 or more members who live in my area, had our first meetup, and are going to have at least two or three more future ones (that I know of). Finally! Friends outside of the Internet! Lol It's amazing what you can do with social media...O_O

I know that I said that I planned on posting more, but I'll just post whenever I darn well feel like it. :-P That means I may go a few days with posting regularly, and then days/weeks without posting. If I ever go on a hiatus or indefinite leave, then I'll let you know. Though I have been getting some more inspiration involving Liam, so you may in fact see Liam brony-fied in the future like I said in my previous post. Anyway, besides bronies I was also thinking of portraying him as being involved in other Internet communities and fandoms, like trolling, Minecraft, Memebase/Know Your Meme/4chan, furries, MMORPG's, and so on.

If you're wondering what's been going on with me in real life besides the brony stuff, I'm nearing the end of my second year of community college (I get out in very late May). I've already registered for the summer semester, in which I'll be taking Spanish 101. I've never taken a foreigh language before, so I thought I'd do it now as 1. I think I might go for a an associates degree in Liberal Arts, and 2. It's useful to know a foreign language, and Spanish would be the most useful one by far around where I live. I also started playing Minecraft. It seems pretty entertaining, though I haven't tried multiplayer mode yet. If any of you play it maybe we should play together sometime. ;-) Besides that I've just grown as a person in general.

And with that, I bid you adieu (for now). Wait a sec...I'll end the post with this instead (I don't recommend you click the link if you have epilepsy or other strange reactions to flashing lights):

Long Time No Post (updated)

Hi everyone. As you can see I haven't posted anything for about 3 weeks. The main reason being is because I've become a brony and joined its community.

I first heard of bronies on Memebase when I kept seeing My Little Pony memes. These started to grow on me, and after I saw another simmer had become one my interest was heightened. I started watching clips of the show (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) on YouTube, which lead me to start watching the show itself, which lead me to joining a forum. Everyone at the forum is very nice and not like the brony trolls and attention-whores you see across the Internet. I actually find the show entertaining as I like the characters, the plots, its humor, and its pop culture references. I had no interest in watching it at first, but after watching clips I decided I had to watch it. :-P

I would also like to make it very clear that I am not one of those people whose lives are only ponies. I am only a fan of the new show (I heard that the past series were more "girly" and less appealing to a wider audience) and I don't collect toys, I don't own any themed clothing, and I have never gone to BroNYCon (not that there's anything wrong with those things, they're just not my thing at the moment). I just watch the show, converse with other fans of it online, and I might make OC's (original characters) for roleplaying. That's it. I have many interests besides this show...like The Sims. :-P

Also, you better expect to see me post some stuff about Liam being a brony. I told Liam this, and this was his response:

Liam, don't try to fight it. You are the perfect sim specimen to become a brony.

I've still been checking Simstopia and other simmers' blogs regularly, just so you know I haven't been totally isolating myself from here. I also noticed that EA has implemented the new MyPages and added the social features of Showtime in the latest patch, which are causing quite a buzz in the Simmerverse. Like everyone's already stated, it does look like a ripoff of Facebook. Lol I checked my MyPage to see what spam I might've gotten, and many of the more recent comments on my newsfeed were in German and Polish. o_O I barely use the official site anymore anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me. Lol

Anyway I do plan to post more again, and like I said some of it will be about Liam's love for MLP. Until then, Happy Simming and have fun with the new MyPages! :-P

EA's Shorty Awards Conspiracy

When EA first heard of the Shorty Awards, they became completely obsessed with it. They orgasmed at the idea of winning a crummy award for social media, and they lusted after it so profusely and profoundly that they would do anything to obtain it. To them receiving it would be like a manifestation of their "divine birthright" to be highly exalted as if they were some kind of corporate deity. Their social media tactics are in fact the very brainwashing technology that they use to convince many simmers that they are in fact a benevolent company that lives to serve the every whim of their clientele. This is the reason they want to win it: so that their egomaniacally narcissistic motives will be further masked under the facade of something philanthropic.

To help ensure that their brainwashing found its way to all Shorty Award voters, they bribed Ghostbusters to capture Winston Churchill's soul so that they could use the essence of a great public figure for something more sinister: serving as a surrogate and broadcasting device for channeling manipulative energy from Liam O'Dourke, the Prude of Darkness's favored minion and evil-incarnate, to the cyber public. The energy is programmed to compel people to surrender their voting suffrage to EA, so the very moment they lay eyes on captive Winston Churchill's iconic face paired with "Oops, something is technically wrong. The Shorty Awards will return soon." they are bombarded with subliminal messaging through the medium of metaphysics.

As you can see above, Liam is fiercly stimulating his Third Eye chakra for the malevolent purpose of psychically channeling his own energy into the very being of Winston Churchill for the use of broadcasting mass exploitation and delusion. EA made a pact with the Prude of Darkness: they use Liam and Churchill to do evil and they in turn will receive fulfillment of their avaricious desires. But how do we stop EA's sinister plot to subtly hoodwink the public into serving their self-indulgent motives? Your answer is just a phone call away:

If you want to hear music, then click the play button.

If there's something glitched
In your Internet
Who ya gonna call?
LIAMBUSTERS!

If your site is down
And it don't look good
Who ya gonna call?
LIAMBUSTERS!

P.S. Beside serving the Prude of Darkness, EA is also a puppet for the Illuminati. After the false alien invasion takes place that results in the establishing of the New World Order, EA will be rewarded with a charming gift basket full of chocolate coins that symbolizes their favored and patron false god: money.

Re: The shorty awards must be ran be EA!

This is my response to Paco's The shorty awards must be ran by EA! post:

How did this happen? Well, long story short, EA maliciously incarcerated Winston Churchill's soul (or someone who looks a lot like him) and forced him to be a surrogate for Liam at the Shorty Awards. They're having Liam psychically channel his own energy into Churchill's soul which gives the "Liam'd" feeling.

But how did they get the former U.K. prime minister's soul? Surely EA's too lazy to invent the technology (none that's glitchy anyway). There's one simple answer: They bribed Ghostbusters with a handsome payment (and, just to make sure, they went Sesert style and threw in some porn to appeal to their carnal desires).

If there's something strange,
In your neighborhood,
Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters!
